I was surprised after hearing Pope Benedicto speaking on pedophilia on the plane even before landing in the US. Catholics know that this is a big issue to solve around the world, and the Pope is taking the lead to make things right.
We speak about Chile here, so what are doing our ecclesiastic authorities about it ? I havent heard a public statement on the issue so far. Fortunately chilean comunity is leaving the denial mood and ask their religious authorities to bring them to justice, not exile.

Titular de El Mercurio: Papa responsabiliza a los medios por la prostitución y el abuso infantil. Conclusión derivada: Cuando no había medios ?de comunicación se entiende? no había prostitución ni abuso infantil (o había mucho menos), según habría dicho el Papa. Por la libertad de consciencia podemos ir más atrás: ¿Qué pasaba antes de la imprenta? ¿La gente no pensaba y no había crímenes?
