I think this is because of the conveniences of assisted living communities right now. As a nurse I work in two different assisted living homes and the conveniences get better and better, every year, and some are better than my own condominium. Senior people need glamor, luxury, and of course, comfort, and that's all assisted living places are offering now. Huge living rooms, beautiful, spacious and luxurious bedrooms with incredible views, services that are just a phone call away, senior people just fall in love with assisted living homes.
