To the Managers of the Mining Companies Some weeks ago, the regional secretary for the Ministry of Mining, Rodrigo Mendiburu, emphasized in a seminar organized by the journal Norte Minero (Mining North) that growth is not the same as development. He said Antofagasta as both region and commune has grown, that mining investment has increased also and so have the figures given by the mining industry in this zone. But, can we tell?
