Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Fri 11/07/2008 at 17:07

Very curious, DC party doesn´t get any votes in this poll...

may be people, and young people that read these blogs, are clear about politicians after all. Remember what senator Zaldivar said about the DC some months ago. Please watch this video if you want to know or rememeber.

Zaldivar: The Rebel

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Mon 16/06/2008 at 16:24

Look for the "rebel" definition at the dictionary, and you see most of definitions are not very nice. I say differently, rebels are good if they act in the goodwill of many, and that is what Mr. Zalvidar is doing since he was put out of the DC party. What a bad influence that party was for this man. He is now telling the true.

The issue now, human rights, and how politicians have used and abused the term to save their political back nothing else. They dont care about the victims, they dont care about

Why is there a fuel and food shortage in Santiago?

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Fri 06/06/2008 at 16:42

is the socialism stupid !

that would be the answer of the US people about what is going on in Chile today.

Socialism has the virtue to make things scare, expensive and put them away of the common people. So why Chile keep voting for them ? no answer is clear. You tell us !

From the people perspective, politics (Mr. Velasco) doesn´t want to lower taxes, because, and only because, they (politics) would be harmed when they need to rise them back again. So they think first, and first and first on their polictical career

Zaldivar strikes on target again

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Sun 04/05/2008 at 20:34

"No podemos seguir así" says senate´s president Adolfo Zaldívar on todays El Mercurio. And continue ...

"... Bueno sería despejar si efectivamente hay nexos entre ex altos ejecutivos de la cuprera que formaron empresas propias para luego ofrecer sus servicios como contratistas..."

I wonder several days ago about why everybody focused on Codelco´s conflict and contractor´s employees, but nobody speaks about contractor companies and their owners. May be because there it lays the whole problem, and nobody, until now, is focusing on the real issue. I wonder why TVN, C13, CHV, MEGA and written media are not

Politicians can explain anything !

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Thu 01/05/2008 at 17:56

"Andrés Velasco sostuvo que el crecimiento del desempleo se explica porque “al igual que en meses anteriores, hay más gente que está buscando trabajo porque tiene mejores perspectivas de encontrarlo. ...."

Yes. We are all stupid but him.

45% of Codelco stopped

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Mon 28/04/2008 at 16:18

Incredible, 45% of the biggest copper company of the world has stopped and ministers inside the goverment cannot get a common understanding on how to solve the problem, even how the problem started in the first place. (more here)

This is like getting a goal on soccer and keep arguing about who´s fault it is and then..... get another goal.

Second half for the goverment is looking ugly !

Andrade is next.

Chilean Politicians, STOP stealing people´s TAX money.

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Thu 24/04/2008 at 18:57

Lets summarize here all the EVENTS where we have seen politicians or goverment people taking advantange of their position for their own benefit, and not serving chilean's people.

Lets make them clear we demand stop stealing !

Please add your own !

I will start with some:

  • EFE
  • Sobresueldos
  • Chiledeportes
  • MOP - GATE
  • Curepto´s Hospital (it really doesn´t belong here, but it is so ridiculous that deserve it mentioning.)

Zaldivar gets better and better, indepedent senators seem more honest !

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Mon 21/04/2008 at 19:03

Anyone who heard sunday´s senator Zaldivar opinion on CHV can get a clear picture on today´s chilean political stance.

The time to change and move on has come. No honest concertacion´s member can be happy with their representatives today, particularly with those of the DC party (not mention to Soledad Alvear reparation act to celebrate Provoste failure).

So, TV directors may help this country big time these days. They only have to invite independent senators to speak out on prime time. They are telling the truth, just call them to talk about it.

Surprise ! Pope Benedicto speaks English straight

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Sat 19/04/2008 at 1:50

I was surprised after hearing Pope Benedicto speaking on pedophilia on the plane even before landing in the US. Catholics know that this is a big issue to solve around the world, and the Pope is taking the lead to make things right.

We speak about Chile here, so what are doing our ecclesiastic authorities about it ? I havent heard a public statement on the issue so far. Fortunately chilean comunity is leaving the denial mood and ask their religious authorities to bring them to justice, not exile.

What is worse the beggar who burn out Virgin del Carmen

Does Ms. Provoste deserve it ?

Posted by The Chilean Observer in The Chilean Observer on Fri 18/04/2008 at 20:07

Does Ms. Yasna Provoste deserve it ? Probably not, probably the senate was too tough, yes, compared with other concertacion´s failures, named EFE, Chiledeportes, MOP and on and on, she paid very early on the road, again compared with nobody´s head on several other major frauds (Lagos´included by Longeira The Magnanimous).

This time something is different, someone has to pay the bill, and sorry Ms. Provoste was the person, and this is the right thing to do for Chile. She should blame the concertacion for many years of incompetence. Hopefully, for Chile, everyone on the public service
